Where would I go?
I would be staying in three camps over the four week experience. The first two are located in the mountains in the serengeti national park and the mount kilamanjaro national park, this is where most of my community work would be done. The final camp Is in Tanga, on the coastof Tanzania where I would help clear the beaches in order to help threatened wildlife
What impact would I make?
I would be building houses for locals and schools for the local children, educating and improving the quality of life of the locals
I would be cleaning up the beaches to stop any litter from damaging the beautiful ocean life
I would be teaching the locals how to live more co-operatively with the elephants to help stop the rate of population decline. I will also teach them how you could use elephant dung paper to bring money into the community
Hello! I'm Indiya, a 15-year-old student from Manchester (UK) and in the summer of 2017 I am lucky enough to have been offered the chance to go to Tanzania for four weeks to do volunteering. In the bigger picture of the world it may not seem like much but whilst there I would have the time and space to help hundreds of people, and it's a start to making our world a more equal and happier place. The thought of being able to help a young child learn and have a fuller life is one of my greatest motivations to go. I would be so thankful if anyone reading this would take the time to donate any amount of money to help me fund my trip or share this site with their friends and family to help spread my cause.
So far we've raised almost £400 and I couldn't be more grateful! Thank you to everyone who has donated it means a lot.
As for future plans on July 1st I'll be holding a gaming night at Juice nursery in Altrincham with some help from the girls who work there. Later in the year, around October/November I've been able to take part in a tribute night, and from this I could get a quater of the money needed for my trip! Thre'll be more information about both of these events on my Facebook page which is where I'll be updating most events.
